Biography
Dr. Osama Mahmoud Azmy graduated from faculty of medicine, Cairo University in 1986 then obtained his membership from Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996 where He was granted the Fellowship level in 2008. He is the head of medical research division and general manager of medical research centre of excellence at the National Research Centre. Molecular and Regenerative medicine are his subspecialty of interest where he gained the clinical and scientific experience both, in Egypt and England by working at different and highly reputable hospitals and health centers. He participated in the successful setting up of cell free fetal DNA extraction from maternal plasma as a non-invasive tool for prenatal diagnosis. Over the last decade, he introduced the branch of regenerative medicine research activity where they used stem cells for both in vitro and in vivo research activities.
